Happy Holidays

One week of our two-week holiday has passed. Did it go quickly for you? What have you been doing? Perhaps you have been skiing or on holiday somewhere? Can you write a comment to let us know what you have been up to?
Monty is in Mexico, with Cristina. I wonder what they have been doing. Do you know anything about Mexico? Can you use what you know, or find out, to guess what Monty has been up to?
Happy Holidays everyone!

  1. I am having a lovely holiday! I saw a wonderful film with my children at Utopia cinema. The film is called Zarafa and it is an animation (cartoon). Zarafa is an adventure story about Maki, a brave boy about your age, who makes a promise and has to overcome lots of dangers and difficulties to keep his promise.
We also went to a small theatre in Toulouse called Le Theatre du Pont Neuf. The show was called 'L'homme sans tĂȘte'. Do you know what that means in English? It was a very funny show with some great music and songs.
As today is a beautiful sunny day I am going Today I'm off for a bike ride. Then next week, Barcelona!

  2. On Saturday we went to Viehla to have fun with the sledge. The next day we went to the snow to play in the snow and sledge and eat the snow and that night I vomited a lot. I didn't feel very well. The next day I came back to my house at Pibrac and I felt better.Maria

  4. But I didn't tell you the rest of my holiday! On Wednesday I went a few hours to Lourdes' house (Pablo (my litte brother's nounou). The next day I went to the cinema. The film was called Alvin and the chipmunks 3 and it was a bit scary for me because of a crazy girl who stayed in a jungle for 9 years. The chipmunks went there and the girl was nice to them but actually she was not nice at all because she wanted a treasure that was hiding behind the cascade and there was a volcano that was going to explose so the chipmunks did a boat and then she was nice. 1. Hi Sanika, I'm glad you are enjoying Scrabble. Like you said it's a fun way to learn new words and spellings. My children like playing a shape game called Blockus! It is good fun but they often beat me! It sounds like you have some lovely things to look forward to over the next few days.

  10. I know a few things that Monty can do in Mexico. He can learn some Spanish, He can eat nachos with guacamole and burritos. He can learn about the Mayas. I know the Mayas were very good mathematicians, they invented the number 0. They had a funny way of writing using strange symbols.
I've been to San Sebastian. Miss Ash, in Barcelona don't miss the Sagrada Familia and the Happy Pills Store.
    love , Pablo

The next day I went to Aksh's house because it was Aksh's little brother birthday .We ate the cake then we did some games. The first game was:pas the ball,we had to sit down and do a circle and when the music starts we have to pass the ball and when the music stops we see who has the ball. That person has to be out of the game. The last person left wins the game. Then we played musical chairs and I won the game.
In aksh's room we played freeze dance, musical bumps.
Then we did drawing. My pictur was a perfect horse, perfect butterfly and a portrait of Tanvi. At last we got the return gifts, the girls got soft puppies and the boys got cars.

  13. Hello Pablo and Sanika,
I enjoyed reading your comments. Well done for taking time to look at the blog and to share your interesting ideas. You have found out some good facts about Mexico, Pablo. The Maya and Aztec civilizations are fascinating. We have some good books in the library at school if you want to find out more.
Sanika, I'm glad to hear that you have been doing some art in the holidays and I would love to see your portrait of Tanvi when we are back at school.
I'm still in Barcelona. I love this city. Yesterday we went to Montjuic, a big green park area on a hill in the city. We travelled on a funicular (a train/tram that travels up hill) and on cable cars to get to the top. Once there we had amazing view of Barcelona and the port. We visited the castle and my children enjoyed climbing on the cannons.
We also went to the Jean Miro museum and looked at his wonderful paintings and sculptures. Today we are off to the zoo and we are especially curious to see the white gorilla. Thanks for your suggestions, Pablo. We will definitely visit la Sagrada Familia and I'll look out for Happy Pills.
I hope everyone else is enjoying their holiday.

  14. Hello Miss Ash. I liked the places that you've visited in Barcelona. I've been in most places but not in Monjuic. You can also visit the Parc Guell , it's fantastic. I saw a girl dancing flamenco there. If you have time you can go to la Boqueria Market. There is a nice man called Pablo like me. He sells the best crepes in the world. You need to try them!!. You can also walk around to the Barrio Gotico and visit Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral.

  15. Hello Miss Ash. I really would like to read some books about Mayas. I think they must be interesting. Cristobal colon discovered America and Hernan Cortes conquered Mexico. The Mayas and the aztecs were the people who lived in Mexico when Hernan cortes arrived.

  16. How wonderful! I went to Mexico a few years ago and had a fab time. We went to a place called Tulum. I wonder if you can find out about it? It was a very interesting place.
We also had great fun at a place called Xcaret where we swam with some fish, jumped off some cliffs and floated down a stream in a big rubber ring. It was wonderful!

On Tuesday we went to Toulouse, first to an astronomy shop and then to the park at st Michel then we went back home and we did crepes. the next day we went to the Blagnac swimming pool and I did paint drawings. The next day we went to the cinema to watch the film Zarafa it was a bit sad. Then we tried to go to Lourdes but we came back because a tire was under-pressure and my dad wanted to check if it has a puncture and we left the car overnight in a garage next to our house. The next morning, I went walking with my dad to pick up the car and all was OK so we decided to go to the Pyrenees to go skiing then we went back home. Yesterday we did a Lego.It was a fishing boat.
